Bobcats Advance

Kort

The Bobcat football team had a impressive win Wednesday night over the North Central knights. The Bobcats scored on the first play of the game as Joe Mackin ran the kick return back for a touchdown after Trent Karr had an aggressive block right in the heart of the the knights kickoff team.

The Bobcats were quick to shut down the knights’ run game leaving them with the only option to pass against the hard hitting Bobcats. At the end of first quarter, Blue Hill lead the Knights 20-6. As the Bobcats grinded out the first and second quarter, the Bobcats held the lead to 27-14.

The second half was a good half all around for the experienced Bobcat team resulting in a 49-20 win to advance to the third round in the Nebraska D2 playoffs where they will be facing a tough Twin Loup team on Tuesday night at 6 PM.

Bobcats Roll the Raiders

Kosse and Kort

September 29th was a night to remember as the Bobcats rolled over the Lawrence- Nelson Raiders despite the Raider’s 18-14 lead the first half. Coach Streff said,” it was a tail of two halves we made a lot of mistakes the first half and the second half we played much cleaner and pulled it away from them.”

The final score was 40-24 keeping the winning seasons going for the Blue Hill Bobcats. With this win, the Bobcats remain undefeated this season.

Blue Hill Staff <3 Public Schools

Shawlarge_Blue-Shirt-FrontThis school year Blue Hill Schools’ teachers are celebrating the public school communities by wearing an I ❤ Public Schools shirt once a month.

The shirts are part of NE<3PS (Nebraska Loves Public Schools). http://nelovesps.org/about/. Their mission is to help promote the good moments of the public school systems by taking photos, videos, and making them into films.

They also sell shirts that say, “I ❤ Public Schools.” These shirts are to promote the wellbeing of public schools. The staff of Blue Hill will be allowed to wear their shirts with jeans on the first friday of every month if they so choose.

Mrs. Kohmetscher, a Blue Hill High School teacher, commented on what that day means to her, “I ❤ Public Schools Day is a time for teachers, students, and the community to celebrate public schools and education. It is neat to see teachers from other schools out in public wearing their different colored shirts.”

The I ❤ Public Schools days will be a wonderful way to promote learning in public school communities.
