BH Volleyball players line up with youth

Far from a surprise, the Lady Bobcat volleyball won their game vs. the Silver Lake Mustangs in a Tuesday night matchup. They came out strong with a first set finish of 25-8, the second set was 25-3, and they closed the first and final set with a score of 25-4.

It was youth night, a chance for young volleyball players to watch the game and get recognized. The youth volleyball players got to high-five the high school players after they were introduced. This gave the kids a chance to see what they will experience in high school.

Lady Bobcats host Cheer and Dance Clinic

By Becky Cox

This past Saturday the Cheer and Dance squad hosted their annual Cheer and Dance Clinic.

Elementary girls from 1st through 6th grade showed up ready to learn new dances and cheers. The overall feeling was pure excitement and enthusiasm to learn.

The spirit squad split up, the cheerleaders taking the 3rd through 6th graders first. Before snack time though, the dancer team and 1st and 2nd graders came down and challenged them to a round of “We Got Spirit.”

With no clear winner, the girls were excited for a break to talk and relax with the high school girls. After wrapping up with a selfie session, the dancers took the older girls to learn their dance.

Before heading home, and after another go at “We Got Spirit,” each group of girls performed their cheers and dance for each other.

The Cheer & Dance girls will perform during the girls’ half time at the Red Cloud vs Blue Hill game this Friday
